About Me
I am a biographer with a background in both anthropology and trauma work, dedicated to capturing life stories with care, depth, and respect. Originally from California, my work has taken me across the world, where I have combined research, teaching, and community support. I created a trauma network in academia to support survivors navigating some of the most isolating and silenced experiences within higher education, and I have had the honor of lecturing at Oxford on these issues. My professional path has also included facilitating trauma groups and working directly with incarcerated people, former foster youth, and survivors of serious crime and loss—experiences that have taught me how deeply people’s stories matter, and how carefully they must be held.
As an anthropologist, I bring an eye for context, meaning, and history. As a trauma-informed practitioner, I bring patience, presence, and compassion. This combination allows me to approach biography writing not only as the documentation of facts, but as an attentive act of listening to how people make sense of their lives, struggles, and triumphs.
Beyond my work, I find joy in vegetarian home cooking, spending time with animals, and being in nature. I love movement in all its forms—pilates, long walks, and travel—and I have a deep appreciation for history and the ways it shapes us. These interests nourish me personally and sustain the grounded perspective I bring into my writing practice.
When we work together, you will get to know me well, just as I will get to know you. Biography writing is a collaborative journey, and my goal is to ensure that your story is honored, expressed with clarity, and given the depth it deserves.
I am a small business, not a corporation. This work will be handled with the utmost care.
